Kaimānga is a daily 100% reo Māori, easy listening Māori music mix show hosted by Hohepa Luke.

The lunch time programme showcases the sounds of Aotearoas’ finest Māori musicians and upcoming artists.

Hohepa delivers daily an extensive weather report (Ngā Tohu-a-Tāwhirimatea), Community Notices (Pānui-ā-rohe/ Pānui-ā-motu) and a new akoranga reo segment with Ruakere Hond called ‘Pātaia Te Pātai’ in association with Te Reo Irirangi o Te Korimako.

In addition, the 2-hour broadcast also includes the Pakipūmeka (Reo Documentary) of the day and the News and Sports reports at the top of the hour.

About Hohepa Luke...

Hohepa (Ngāti Ruanui / Ngā Ruahine) began his broadcasting career in 2004. Within that time Hohepa has hosted a number of shows on Waatea and also hosts the Saturday afternoon show Ka Mutu Pea. A fluent speaker and student of the reo, Hohepa aims to further his knowledge and is currently studying for his Masters.
